Story 3: The Grenade Incident
On November 4, 1993, a grenade was brought into Queensway Carleton Hospital's Emergency Department. Marlene Ghattas (Retired Emergency Director), Brenda Edwards and Sheila Armitage (Retired ED Nurses) reflect on their experience leading the evacuation and keeping patients safe. Dr. Andrew Falconer was present, guiding the conversations between the Nepean Police and the man with the grenade.
