Story 33: Meet Anne Brackstone!

A Full Career

Anne Brackstone has seen nursing education through its many seasons. Since 1987, she took up various roles at QCH including Staff Nurse, Nurse Educator, and Manager of Training and Development.

At one point serving as the hospital's only Nurse Educator, Anne led initiatives such as orientation programs, fire drills, and educational blitzes that strengthened staff preparedness and helped establish many of the standard practices that continue to shape care at QCH today.

In the above video, Anne reflects on her journey at QCH and shares how nursing education has evolved, transformed healthcare practices and enhanced the quality of care we have provided to our patients and community over the years.

Fun Fact!

Anne introduced the code colours to the QCH staff and did many teaching sessions.
