Talented students from Merivale High School’s Sewing and Embroidery Club reached out with a generous offer to donate handmade items. After connecting with our Childbirth Unit, they took on a special request: creating cozy car seat blankets for babies in our Special Care Nursery.

Following a collaborative design process—discussing materials, measurements, and styles—the students lovingly crafted and donated 19 beautiful blankets.

The MHS Sewing and Embroidery Club welcomes students of all skill levels to learn needlework, practice patterns, and give back to the community. In addition to supporting QCH, the club also helped costume this year’s school play, Game of Tiaras.

We’re grateful for their creativity, care, and community spirit!
