Meet the QCH Health Records Team, recipient of the 2025 D. Aubrey Moodie Team Award.

The D. Aubrey Moodie Team Award is presented to a QCH team who provides excellence in the delivery of service and care. Nominees are put forward based on accountability and commitment; collaboration and communication; and innovation and perseverance.

The Health Records Team epitomizes collaboration and continuous improvement. They deliberately and continually transform their department to meet the hospital’s changing needs, and cross-train staff ensuring flexibility and knowledge sharing.  

They’ve standardized work and developed a system to maintain the documents. They have implemented a safety committee to ensure workplace safety, with regular checks and follow-ups. With off-site team members, they have effectively used Teams to communicate and solve problems, creating a positive and inclusive environment where everyone thrives. 

They have demonstrated exceptional accountability identifying and implementing new processes to ensure that critical information is easily accessible, enhancing the quality of care and service for patients and end users. Their proactive approach and dedication to improving documentation consistently go above and beyond, reflecting their unwavering commitment to excellence in patient care.  Their innovative spirit, willingness to adapt, and perseverance has impacted the timely availability of information for care providers.
